about
THE LIGHT OF TOMORROW
Optimistic is not a word that has often been used to describe me. Perhaps that’s due to my dislike for the words optimism and pessimism. But I much prefer a different word.
Hopeful.
Beneath my stoic exterior, an unyielding hope lies at the very core of my being. But it only shines forth in select and sometimes surprising ways. Ways that surprise even me.
My music is the prime example. The songs that I create are often much brighter and uplifting than even I anticipate. My hope shines through in the melodies that flow out of me.
But hope can be a very difficult thing to hold on to. It must be fought for, protected, and celebrated.
So this song, for me, is a celebration.
A declaration that we’ve made it through the night.
That despite everything else, we are still here.
And that maybe - just maybe - there is a brighter future ahead...
